REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Know My HealthHow do you deal with the physical and emotional stress of the big problems we face? How can you help others cope?
Juan Berrios 10/28/2020 11:24 AMI manage my physical and emotional stress when I face great problems by claiming calm within myself and focusing on those things that I can control. I have not done what I unfortunately cannot control or change. Usually I suggest to others to focus on the things they can handle and that they have or can develop the capacity to do. When you can't, then get someone else to help you. We are not alone. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and Renewal Family Game HourHow does being playful with others enrich your life?
Juan Berrios 10/28/2020 11:12 AMBeing playful with others gives me immense satisfaction because they respond to me with a radiant smile and I see that I make them happy, enough gratification to continue doing it. -
Juan Berrios 10/28/2020 5:25 AMHaving potable water in the rural areas of my country is a significant challenge. That's why when we achieve a water project in those rural areas, we celebrate it! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Upgrade My WindowsHow does improving your home's energy efficiency help you better live out your values?
Juan Berrios 10/28/2020 5:19 AMImproving the energy efficiency of my home helps us to be more resilient, responsible with the environment and provides us with savings in our family budget. -
Juan Berrios 10/27/2020 6:37 AMWe are hopeful, my country has begun to create awareness that sustainable energy is the correct alternative. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Insulate Water Pipes and Water HeaterHow do you think climate change will affect your region’s water supply? Think about the effects of weather, storms, salinity, and sea level rise, among other changes. How can you find out more about climate change’s impact to your region's water?
Juan Berrios 10/27/2020 6:31 AMClimate change in my country can create a salinity problem and this affect the water supply because most of the drinking water treatment plants are located near the coast. The College of Engineers of Puerto Rico developed a Committee to evaluate the impact of climate change on water in the region and documented the study and recommendations to address the problem. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Install Alternative EnergyHow is your region being affected by climate change? How will it be affected in the future?
Juan Berrios 10/27/2020 6:25 AMClimate change has affected the behavior of the different seasons of the year, especially the winter and summer seasons have changed around ten degrees in the last years. These climate changes may affect our country's water reserves and agriculture in the future. -
Juan Berrios 10/26/2020 8:15 AMOne of the examples of a water reserve structure in my country. -
Juan Berrios 10/25/2020 4:13 PM70% of the drinking water treatment plants in my country are located on the coast. Climate change is increasing the level of ocean water and therefore that will be salinizing 70% of the source of our drinking water. What are we waiting for to avoid this situation? -
Juan Berrios 10/24/2020 10:51 AM60% of the water treated as drinking water in my country is lost through leaks from the pipes of the distribution system. As a society we have an urgent problem to solve to be responsible with the water resource.
