REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Work From HomeIt takes the average worker in the United States 26 minutes to travel to work. One way to fix long commutes would be to make cities more affordable. An even simpler option: promote the use of telework. How have you used technology to replace in-person meetings or work this year?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth ForgivenessHow has the process of forgiving, or contemplating forgiveness, benefited you?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Meet My Local FarmersWhen you know who produces your food, you are connecting personally to your complex regional food system. What are the advantages of knowing who produces your food and where it comes from? How can knowing their food producers enable someone to advocate for a better quality of life for those who produce their food, both near and far?
Velina Dimova 10/21/2020 7:37 AMWhen the product is good i am sharing this always with my friends and colleagues. If i find something odd or not good in the product i like to share it directly with the people, producing the food. This way i can give them direct feedback and help them develop a better product. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth More Fruits and VeggiesHow does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?
Velina Dimova 10/21/2020 7:33 AMI feel better than before. I also noticed a difference on my face. :D somehow my skin looks better. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Reduce Refined SugarBefore you started this challenge, did you think you were 'addicted' to sugar? How do you feel now?
Velina Dimova 10/14/2020 11:23 PMFor sure I was addicted. Now it's easier and i am always thinking about different sweet alternatives which are also delicious. :)-
Desislava Todorova 10/15/2020 2:01 AMKnowing I am addicted to sugar is the 1st step as you are able to recognize some of your weak points. Taking actions towards healthy living is the 2nd step. I already started during the pandemic to a. reduce sugar, b. if I eat sugar, then only in the 1st half of the day, c. walk / practice more. Now it became a habit and I feel great.

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Weekly Meal PlanningAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four in the US spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?
Velina Dimova 10/12/2020 1:35 AMI am not surprised. I really don't like throwing food. I organize everything in our household the way that minimizes the wasted food. I prep everything and always prioritize the food.-
Desislava Todorova 10/15/2020 2:08 AMI am not surprised either as I know how hard is to manage a household of 4 and also more. Good thing for me is that in the neighborhood there are homeless dogs which I feed with leftovers.
