REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Justice for the Whole Community Watch a Documentary about Food SovereigntyHow does food sovereignty address the complex transition from localized food systems to modern global food systems?
Erica Kelly 10/26/2020 8:39 AMPeople in different countries and all over the US have been purchasing food at cheaper prices from the globalized markets which closes out the small locally owned businesses, who have an important role in fueling our local economy. But, the global market can't maintain their cheaper prices, causing social inequality, and people in our communities to go hungry because they can't afford higher food prices. Therefore, this is one reason why it's imperative that we band together to fight for food sovereignty and find solutions to support our local business community. My plan: schedule a shopping date with my sister to shop at a locally owned market and/or local owned business strips around town. -
