  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Justice for the Whole Community Watch a Documentary about Food Sovereignty
How does food sovereignty address the complex transition from localized food systems to modern global food systems?

People in different countries and all over the US have been purchasing food at cheaper prices from the globalized markets which closes out the small locally owned businesses, who have an important role in fueling our local economy. But, the global market can't maintain their cheaper prices, causing social inequality, and  people in our communities to go hungry because they can't afford higher food prices. Therefore, this is one reason why it's imperative that we band together to fight for food sovereignty and find solutions to support our local business community. My plan: schedule a shopping date with my sister to shop at a locally owned market and/or local owned business strips around town.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Healing and Renewal Happiness
How does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?

When I have moments of disappointments or situations/issues that elevate my anxiety, stress, or limit my physical/metal activity; I take a moment to practice self care, affirmations, and I think of a few or many reasons to be grateful. I also feel it's important to lift the spirits of others by showing gratitude. kindness, acceptance, respect, and smile.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Healing and Renewal Go for a Daily Walk Outside

A daily 20 to 30 minute walk has its many benefits, such as: increases circulation, clears the mind, burns calories, helps your mind to focus on your Bio-labs for class, and other important decisions and tasks for the day. Happy Friday!!!

I made it point to not be so hard on myself, try to tackle each problem a step at a time, and tell myself not to give up even if I feel like it sometimes.
