Kind of been neglecting this- busy, busy, busy- but hopefully I will do my daily challenge tomorrow and get outside a little bit:)

    Health Forgiveness
How has the process of forgiving, or contemplating forgiveness, benefited you?

    I did the forgiveness challenge:

Forgiveness is a beautiful thing. Even though there are still scars, it washes everything clean so forgiver and forgiven can try to heal them.
Forgiveness helps both of them. It helps the victim, the forgiver, open back up to relationship and trust. It helps the aggressor, the forgiven, acknowledge their wrongdoing and try to right it. It helps them recognize how they may have hurt someone else. It also helps them recognize their own scars.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

How can you prevent yourself from accumulating more things in the future?

If I am not using things, I really need to just donate them. Someone else might as well be using them. Then we wouldn't  be putting more materials into products we don't need more of.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Community Engage In Active Listening
What was it like to actively listen to someone? How did both people and the conversation(s) benefit from active listening?

My challenge was to do active listening.
I did not end up choosing to actively listen because of the challenge, but partly because I had no idea how to respond. At least, I think I was actively listening once I recognized that.

For parts of that conversation, I can see the good intent of the other person, and I can definitely understand where they are coming from. This makes it easier to love and accept them even if I don't accept their view.

How does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?

It is easy to be weighed down by worries, by stress, thinking of all the things that don't go 'right.'
It is easy to miss all the blessings in life.
The Jesuits 'find God in all things.' Its hard to see how God takes care of what we actually need if we aren't looking. That's why I want to take the time to look.
