EcoINL Feed

BACK TO TEAM PAGE

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Once a year, always get a blood draw with full blood panel.  Quick, easy, fairly inexpensive and THE best indicator for any problems that are on the rise

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Healing and Renewal Engage In Active Listening
What was it like to actively listen to someone? How did both people and the conversation(s) benefit from active listening?

It was interesting to actually think about and essentially do active listening because I usually would just listen without thinking much about it. The conversation benefitted because it not only showed interest from my side but it also helped validate what they were saying through questions asked.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Justice for the Whole Community Research Voter Suppression
What are the ways in which voters are prohibited from or discouraged from voting in your region and/or state? What could be done to get rid of these barriers?

I found a great website that tries to fight any discriminations that might come about through voting. For example, they work to provide fair rights though educational materials, work at the legislature, and legal challenges to unconstitutional voting policies. They also have great resources for Transgenders and resources available in Spanish.

Planting trees helps me know that I am making a big impact for our environment. It helps with air quality, gives people and animals shade, connects you more with mother nature, etc.

I would like to invest time in being thankful for what I have and not to get greedy or selfish.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Justice for the Whole Community Learn About Local Environmental Justice Concerns
Who is most affected by environmental degradation and/or environmental irresponsiblity in your community? How are they affected?

I think all over it is the farmers who bear the brunt of any environmental degradation. The degradation affects wildlife, climate change which in turn afeects us all and farmers especially due to uneven weather causing loss of crops.
