REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Learn About & Practice Sustainable FashionHow can you express your personality, creativity, and values in ways that don't require fast fashion or buying more clothes and accessories?
Carole Engel 10/26/2020 9:08 PMI can add interest to clothes I already have through dying or embroidery. I can alter clothes to catch up with current fashion. And I can disregard the unsustainable pace of fast fashion by finding “my look”: styles that fit my person, my personality and my lifestyle. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and Renewal Research Restorative JusticeHow can Restorative Justice help foster the well-being of both people and planet?
Carole Engel 10/15/2020 10:13 AMI particularly liked the circles concept where people work on their interactions face to face with others - facilitators and co-participants. Our lack of awareness of our feelings which lead to negative actions and our lack of awareness of techniques to deal with these feelings are dealt with in the programs I read about. When we learn to deal with our problems with others, I hope we can find the peace to help heal our Earth as well.-
Joanne Schilz 10/19/2020 11:13 AMA s part of the history book club at Greenfield Library we talked about how Rwanda used restorative justice after the genocide to heal the country. This was eye-opening for me and certainly meets the goal of helping the people and the planet.
