    2020 is ... challenging. Taking a moment each day to reflect on and be thankful for the positives prevents me from falling into the despair spiral

    Having an active little one this time around has led to lots of playful time. Turning everyday items or tasks into games is both equally humbling and entertaining.

    Using the calculator gave them something concrete to look to in a monetary value per month. Carbon footprint an a very abstract concept to most people so it's hard to quantify it in everyday terms. By framing it like a bill, that you could potentially get rid of, it opens the door for some meaningful change.

    It's been an eye opening experience to try composting. The amount of food waste I produce was always disguised in the trash, but now it's obvious how much food waste I produce. Now that I'm aware, I can act accordingly to reduce my waste, or find more things to compost and less things to throw in the trash.

    I wish I'd followed through on my meditation challenge more! There's always going to be something else to do, read, see, etc. and it's easy to let those things take over your mind. I'll be meditating today in hopes of making it a more daily habit.

    I have been particularly intrigued by visible mending. The idea is that once you rip, tear, or wear through a piece of clothing, instead of replacing it you find a way to fix the damage in a beautiful or intentional way. You can make the repair contrast with the clothing, or make it blend in. This creates a story for your clothes, kind of like...
